Role: Head of Finance Hours: 37 Salary: Circa £70,000 Contract: Permanent Location: Oldham with hybrid working options Reports to: Director of Finance First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) are seeking an analytical, values-driven problem solver who has the passion and skills to lead the Finance team to successfully support on the delivery of FCHO’s short-, medium- and long-term financial strategy. The Finance team is a business partner to the rest of the organisation to support both current and future activities. This role provides a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to play a critical part in supporting the Director of Finance, Executive Leadership team and other Heads of Service in delivering our exciting change agenda and improving services for colleagues and customers. Has experience of financial planning, treasury management, VAT and tax compliance and internal and external audit. Is a proficient user of financial IT systems. Has experience of leading, managing, motivating and developing a team and support with the delivery of a financial strategy. Has knowledge of Housing SORP and RSH Financial Returns (desirable.) Is able to interpret complex financial information from systems and spreadsheets and perform complex reconciliations. Is able to interpret and implement technical accounting and taxation information with an up-to-date knowledge of Financial Accounting Standards and Statements or Recommended Practices. Has excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to people who do not work in the finance team. Has the ability to produce and present clear, accurate written information and operational reports.
