We are looking for a new member to join our friendly team to support patients attending for appointments and procedures within a rural outpatient department.
The successful candidate will work with multiple specialist teams and be involved in delivering high-quality care when patients attend for varied appointments.

Main duties of the job
* Undertakes a range of delegated clinical care duties in hospital, community, and other settings.
* Records patient observations and changes to patient clinical conditions.
* Carries out limited clinical care duties.
* Works under the supervision of a qualified nurse and assists in the implementation of both direct and non-direct patient care.
* Provides and promotes high-quality care under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional.

Job responsibilities
* Ensure safe running of multiple clinics.
* Provide a welcoming and compassionate environment for patients attending for a variety of consultations and procedures.
* Communicate with the nurse in charge and specialties attending for appointments.
* Communicate with the wider multi-disciplinary team.
* Support patients and provide information regarding appointments and health promotion.
* Set up clinical areas ready for clinics.
* Measure patient observations.
* Perform bladder scanning.
* Conduct flow rate assessments.
* Assist with cardiology diagnostics, including 24hr BP, 24hr ECG, and ECG.
* Support registered nurses in providing care to patients in the medical day case area.
* Maintain stock levels.
* Maintain a safe environment when involved in audit and clinical governance.
Person Specification
Qualifications / Professional Registration
* Level 3 qualification in a healthcare-related subject or a portfolio of equivalent demonstrable experience.
* Completion of a competency-based programme or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience and knowledge
* Previous care experience in a health or social care setting.
* Evidence of completed competencies aligned to the service area.
* Customer Care course.

Salary: £24,071 to £25,674 a year pro rata per annum.
