Job Title: Streetsweeper/Driver Location: Earlswood Depot Salary: £22,623 - £24,111 (plus 7% early start payment) Hours: 36 hours per week, 5 days including a Saturday or Sunday, 06:00 – 13:45 Contract: Permanent, Full Time About the role Do you love working in the outdoors? Then this is the job is for you. We are now recruiting for a Streetsweeper/Driver to carry out sweeping and other general cleansing duties in the Borough. Some of the duties include: Driving ‘compact’ Sweeper (Subject to training and gaining appropriate licence) Undertake, working alone or as part of a team, the cleansing of highways and other areas. Litter-picking Manual Sweeping Driving 3.5 cwt Pickup Truck Utilise ‘Orderly Barrow’ Litter Bin emptying Graffiti removal Collecting & Removing Fly-tipping Other General Cleansing Work Essential criteria A current clean driving license is essential for driving 3.5 cwt trucks and for driving a precinct mechanical sweeper, appropriate training will be required.
