The role
may involve national travel facilitating independent inspections and reviews across the Counter Terrorism Policing Network to support compliance with policies, processes and procedures. You will support continual improvement including promoting best practice across the Counter Terrorism Policing Network.
You will provide advice on managing security and information risk, consistent with CTP and UK Government Information Assurance policy. Through participating in local and national workshops/forums, you will represent the necessary assurance functions. Engaging and influencing internal and external stakeholders to promote compliance and consistency will be crucial.

Responsibilities
The post holder roles will include;
1. Undertaking IT related protective monitoring, security and audit
2. Assisting with establishing and the maintenance of the Information Assurance, security and development of national and local IT capability
3. Creation of reports to support C&A functions / issues
4. Assisting in the investigation of security incidents and of suspected IT related system misconduct
5. Assisting with the compilation and maintenance of accurate records regarding personnel, physical sites and security incident status
6. Provide business driven advice on the management of security and information risk consistent with CTP and HMG IA Policy
7. Provide independent impartial security assessments and reviews of proposed and live solutions including both physical builds and systems designs
8. Influence and provide advise upon the design, build and deployment of solutions
9. Manage ongoing accreditation between the service provider and business groups
10. Implementing C&A initiatives across CT Policing
