Salary: £33,300 - £43,400
Location: Cambridge/Hybrid (2 days in the office minimum)
Contract: Permanent/Full-time (35 hours per week)

You will lead a small team focusing on delivering a programme of best-in-class events that meet our customer needs and business goals. You are a customer-focused events specialist who understands the complexities and subtleties of events management required for executing a diverse range of physical, virtual, and hybrid events that connect our content and colleagues with our customer communities. Your work will help position Cambridge as leaders in educational thought, teaching, learning, and assessment.

About the role
As a vital part of our growing Events Marketing team, you will work closely with the Senior Events Marketing Manager to design and create tailored event experiences that build and nurture customer relationships, gain recognition and generate leads. Central to this Events Manager role is the ability to coordinate large global events and simultaneously support an extensive regional events programme through positively influencing multiple stakeholder groups, establishing governance and metrics so that we can demonstrate the positive customer impact of our event activities.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Executing global marketing events programme, delivering on event marketing strategies and objectives, optimising budget allocation and event income.
2. Collaborating with the Senior Events Marketing Manager on innovating the event experience to ensure that Cambridge develops a reputation for delivering modern, sustainable, and market-leading event experiences.
3. Establishing a clear customer journey for each event, ensuring key touchpoints and planned experiences are delivered.
4. Providing expert knowledge and support to the Senior Events Marketing Manager to develop the events management strategy and programme of work.
5. Leading and developing a high-performing sub-section of the events team responsible for all event types, fostering development and impactful contributions to the business.
6. Implementing process, training, and governance frameworks for efficient, impactful, and sustainable global and local event operations.
7. Developing a performance measurement framework for events, analysing ROI, setting KPIs and driving continuous improvements through insight, data, and experiments.
About you
To excel in this role, you will:
1. Demonstrate a track record of delivering successful and impactful events, conferences, webinar programmes, ideally in large, global organisations.
2. Inspire and empower a sub-section of the Events team with clear direction, with confidence to influence internal and external stakeholders.
3. Have excellent project, budget, and organisational skills with a focus on delivering to time, budget, and quality standards.
4. Be collaborative, bringing colleagues together to share event expertise, build relationships, and encourage innovation.
