On behalf of our client, an Automotive manufacturer, we are currently recruiting a Production Supervisor to work in their brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Dagenham. The Supervisor will oversee the production team, ensuring the delivery of the production plan, adherence to quality standards, and the health, safety, and well-being of their team members.

1. Rotating early and late shift pattern
2. 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00

Key Activities
1. Take responsibility for monitoring and improving team performance, quality standards, and compliance with health & safety regulations.
2. Lead and manage the team, handling confidential matters such as absence and performance concerns, and conducting regular one-to-one meetings.
3. Oversee the execution of the production plan, collaborating with departments like Planning, Quality, and Logistics to ensure on-time delivery and minimal production loss.
4. Champion the use of the company's ERP system (Epicor) within your team, ensuring accurate data management and workflow.
5. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including conducting risk assessments and COSHH assessments for your area.
6. Lead and participate in problem-solving initiatives, utilizing techniques like PDCA and 5W/2H to identify and resolve production issues.
7. Ensure high standards of housekeeping and hygiene through the implementation of a 5S regime.
8. Actively promote continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Skills & Experience
1. A proactive and motivated individual with strong leadership skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet production targets.
2. Experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally with a background in automotive production or a similar industry.
3. Strong communication skills, comfortable conducting team briefs and representing your product area in meetings.
4. Proven experience with enterprise resource systems, with a preference for candidates familiar with Epicor.
5. Sound understanding of quality conformity requirements and continuous improvement practices within the manufacturing industry.
6. A data-driven approach to decision-making, with experience in identifying and addressing root causes of issues.
