The role
As a Senior Risk Specialist you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will support various risk management and controls tasks within the Rosyth Marine Programmes and Nuclear Operations portfolio. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing process and applications of Risk (Threat & Opportunity) Management across business winning and project delivery phases across P3M (including strategic portfolio risk management) while developing and maintaining good practices, processes and the governance of these areas. This role will report to the Marine Rosyth Risk Manager, but will utilise applicable risk experience to drive capability and performance in a defined area within the business.
Day-to-day, you will:
1. Manage the Risk Management process across the Project/Programme & BD environments.
2. Implement and maintain the Project/Programme Risk Management plan(s), policies, procedures, process and instructions.
3. Provide Risk Management support to the project; Management of Risk data, and quality assurance of Risk reporting
4. Implement Risk Management policies/procedures/process and instructions
5. Maintain Risk Governance arrangements through the project lifecycle
6. Provision of training material/support to all stakeholders and developing other risk specialists
7. Lead on complex quantitative risk analysis within the company's toolsets - SRA's and CRA's
This role is full time 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days based in office in Rosyth, 2 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Senior Risk Specialist
8. Relevant experience in a similar environment / business sector
9. Experience of implementing Risk Governance, Risk Management methodologies, processes, systems and tools
10. Practical experience in conducting quantitative risk analysis modelling
11. Advanced Risk & opportunity management techniques
12. Full project lifecycle experience
13. Knowledge of contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC/JCT)

15. Project Fundamentals Qualification
16. Management of Risk
17. Practitioner or APM Risk Level 2

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance for this role.
