This Non-Exempt | Contract Contingent position currently best aligns with the Licensed Practical Nurse Labor Category. Ideal candidates exhibit the ability to visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges while confidently engaging in productive dialogue targeting mission success.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | White Earth Health Center Candidates shall work to support requirements to assist with program and project management and provide Nursing Services at White Earth Health Center (WEHC) - Combination of RN/LPN Services For The White Earth Service Unit.
Candidates shall provide emergency and routine general medical services for eligible patients (children, adults, and elderly) at the White Earth Health Center. Candidates are expected to screen up to 30 patients per eight-hour workday. Duties shall include but are not limited to the following:
* Providing a high standard of nursing services in accordance with sound professional nursing principles.
* Systematically assessing patient care needs through analysis of data gained through interviews with patient and/or family.
* Constantly reassessing needs based on patients' response to medical and nursing regimes.
* Carrying out nursing and medical plans as delegated and utilizing critical thinking in setting priorities.
* Providing comprehensive nursing care that is appropriate, safe, and timely.
* Administering therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician.
* Setting up, operating, and monitoring specialized equipment.
* Providing appropriate nursing intervention in all phases of care including initiating appropriate emergency measures.
* Evaluating nursing care based on established standards and criteria.
* Providing age-appropriate nursing care for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
* Communicating appropriate information to members of the health care team verbally and in writing in a professional and timely manner.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years. Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint). Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: ProSidian Nurses shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government’s requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: These positions involve considerable amounts of standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, lifting, and turning.
TRAINING (IHS MANDATORY): ProSidian Team Members shall meet all the Indian Health Services educational requirements.
Education: A graduate or higher-level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required.
Qualification: Candidate must hold an unencumbered nursing license from within the United States and hold and maintain a Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
TRAVEL: Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements.
