Whether you're a Band 5, Student Nurse or already qualified and looking to return to the profession, we have just the opportunity. We are looking to recruit one additional full-time nurse to our Endoscopy Unit here at Ysbyty Gwynedd.
The Endoscopy unit on the Ysbyty Gwynedd Site has moved to a 7-day service and increased our nursing staff to reflect this.
Main duties of the job
Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board has access to 8 procedure rooms across three sites. Our procedures are varied and include diagnostics, therapeutics, and surveillance such as gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, PEG insertion, bronchoscopy, EBUS, ERCP, Double Balloon Enteroscopy (DBE). We also host the Bowel Screening Wales Programme, offering a range of specialisms for skill development.
To succeed, you will need to be committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care with pride and respect. Excellent interpersonal skills and evidence of personal and professional development are essential. Recent acute NHS experience is required, and training in endoscopy services will be provided, supported by our in-house endoscopy lead and access to bespoke courses for career progression.

Qualifications
* Essential: Registered General Nurse or Registered Operating Department Practitioner
* Desirable: Diploma or Degree level qualification or willingness to work towards
Experience
* Essential: Substantial experience in gastroenterology, contribution to practice development
* Desirable: Endoscopy nursing experience, gastroenterology or endoscopy courses
Skills
* Essential: Good communication, factual presentation, accurate record-keeping, teamwork, interpersonal skills, contribution to practice development
* Desirable: Knowledge of NHS issues, endoscopy practices, basic IT skills, Welsh language skills
