Job Description
TDR Mechanical Services Ltd are seeking an experienced Installation Working Foreman / Supervisor for commercial Mechanical Services works.
The candidate must be skilled in all aspects of commercial pipework installations on-site, to the highest standards and be experienced in managing other associated sub-contract installation trades. Following an initial probationary period, the position is intended to be a full-time, permanent position with normal working hours of 37.5 hours per week; with overtime by agreement, during busier periods. Normal working hours will be 7.30am - 4.00pm Monday- Thursday and 7.30am – 1.00pm Friday. (Any variance by agreement).
The successful candidate will be required to complete a mandatory enhanced DBS check before commencing works and will be employed on the basis of a satisfactory response to these checks.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Carry out the Safe Planning, supervision and management, at site level, of all aspects of Mechanical Sub Contract Installation packages, along with the installation of commercial/industrial pipework and associated components and systems.
2. Set-out, identify and establish the requirements of a project, either from drawings or other instructions and relay these to site teams, with on-going management and reporting back to office staff.
3. Demonstrate an in-depth technical knowledge and understanding of a system’s operating principles.
4. Supervise and assign tasks to other engineers.
5. Liaise with Main Contractor, sub-contractors, other trades and suppliers on site.
6. Ensure that safe methods of work are adopted by other engineers under their control.
7. Discuss and Resolve issues that arise with Contract Management team and address day to day problems within the scope of works to be carried out.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
9. Commission and test systems.
10. Monitor progress and labour requirements on site, report and discuss requirements with managers.
11. Ensure full compliance with the Company Health & Safety Policy and all current legislation.
Qualifications:
1. NVQ Level 3 Heating and Ventilation (Commercial/Industrial) or equivalent
2. Full UK driving licence
3. A current and valid CSCS card.
The following qualifications are preferred but not essential:
1. Valid commercial gas qualifications including COCN1, ICPN1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1A
Experience:
1. Extensive experience working on commercial heating / Chilled water & Domestic potable water services installations.
2. Experience working with various pipework systems (i.e. screwed steel, welded steel / soldered copper, press-fit stainless & copper).

Pay: In the region of £50-55K – (Dependent on experience & overtime allowance).
