Who we're looking for?
We are looking for a Booking Administration Clerk to become a member of a truly collaborative and hardworking team who provide administrative support with the Cardiology Department. This will include booking/cancelling patients for various tests required, utilising the treatment areas and nursing resources efficiently. The post holder will work as part of a team providing waiting list management for the Medical Directorate. This role relies on close working relationships between Consultants, Secretaries, Ward Staff and patients.
Main duties of the job
* Providing support for the booking processes of all follow-up outpatient appointments ensuring they meet the guidelines connected to Partial Booking and Full Booking for specialties within Medicine.
* Assisting with booking, ensuring all slots are fully utilised and effective slot management processes are followed.
* Collecting and recording data accurately and meet objectives set out by the Administration Manager, ensuring patients meet their 18 week pathway and being responsible for adding patients to the Outpatient Waiting lists.
* Acting as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrating NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence.

Job responsibilities
* Dealing with both telephone and post appointment requests and queries for any new follow-up and follow-up appointments.
* Assisting the team in maintaining out-patient procedures for the Trust, to include compliance with choice, partial booking and full booking on PAS.
* Supporting the booking of new follow-up and follow-up outpatient appointments, ensuring bookings are accurate and within their 18 week pathways as well as their appointment target date.
* Ensuring full utilisation of clinics is achieved by communicating within the team, and between the team and the services.
* Assisting the teams in adding patients to the outpatient waiting lists, ensuring patients are called in chronological and priority order.
* Sending out review letters within the time scales to maintain a partial booking process.
* Removing patients from waiting lists after discussion with the waiting list co-ordinator when they have failed to respond in the agreed timescales or declined two offers.
* Maintaining the Master spreadsheet and assisting with its maintenance.
* Ensuring that any data created, edited, used or recorded on Trust databases within their area of responsibility is accurate and recorded with Trust Policy timescales.
