Job Description:
Medical Education Manager
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to High Wycombe)
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Therapeutic Area (TA) Medical team and third-party scientific experts to define and develop a Medical Education strategy aligned with TA objectives, providing strategic feedback into the Cross-Functional Value Team (CVT) as necessary.
* Draft and implement a comprehensive Medical Education plan detailing integrated multi-channel approaches, including standalone Janssen meetings, third-party symposia, digital outreach (websites and email campaigns), written materials, and support for healthcare professionals (HCPs) through congress attendance and educational grants.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with core faculty, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and emerging experts to enhance Medical Education programs, while developing HCP databases to facilitate speaker and delegate provision for educational and promotional activities.
* Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory standards, including the ABPI Code of Practice, by monitoring educational materials and activities, gaining necessary accreditations from professional bodies, and reporting adverse events as per guidelines.
* Efficiently manage budgets, oversee multiple medical education projects, coordinate logistics with external agencies, and utilize the CRM system to meet company requirements while ensuring transparency in Transfer of Value disclosures for all HCP interactions.
Education and Experience Required:
We are looking for a self-motivated candidate with experience in pharmaceutical events or medical communications, strong project management skills, proven cross-functional collaboration, excellent time and budget management abilities, and the confidence to work independently without requiring close supervision.
You will also bring:
* BSc or other degree; ideally, previous experience in customer-facing role.
* Previous experience in a similar role within a pharmaceutical organisation preferred.
* Project Management Skills including financial management, time management and working on multiple deadlines while navigating through process and compliance requirements.
* Ability to communicate clearly with all internal and external partners to develop and deliver relevant Medical Education programmes.
* Ability to demonstrate scientific integrity in the assigned therapy area.
