Role Overview:
We're looking for MDU Fibre Installation Technicians in the East Of England. You'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fibre optic networks in multi-dwelling units (MDUs), such as apartments and office buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fibre Installation & Maintenance: Install, test, and maintain fibre optic cables and equipment in MDUs.
2. Customer Interaction: Communicate with residents, property managers, and other stakeholders to schedule and complete installations.
3. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with fibre installations.
4. Site Preparation: Plan and execute fibre routing to ensure minimal disruption.
5. Compliance & Safety: Follow safety guidelines, regulations, and company protocols.
6. Documentation: Complete installation reports and job logs.
7. Upgrades & Maintenance: Perform routine upgrades and maintenance on existing fibre networks.
8. Team Collaboration: Work with operations teams to ensure timely and successful project completion.
9. Quality Focus: Ensure high-quality work to avoid revisits, as audits are regular.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in fibre optic installations, ideally in MDUs.
2. Strong knowledge of fibre optic networks, splicing, and testing tools.
3. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues.
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
5. Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
6. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (exceptions may apply).
