Role: SEMH/SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Stoke-on-Trent Hours: Monday to Friday We are currently seeking an experienced SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant to join us at Connex Education to support pupils with complex SEN/SEMH needs. This role offers a challenging but rewarding environment where you will play a vital part in ensuring the pupil has the support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities: Help Deliver personalised 1:1 assistance to students with SEMH SEN needs, ensuring engagement and progress in their learning. Develop and adapt lesson plans to suit individual learning styles and needs. Support students’ social and emotional development alongside their academic progress. Create a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment. Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure cohesive support. Essential Experience of assisting pupils with severe learning difficulties and/or Autism Spectrum Conditions Ability to motivate and inspire learners A clear vision and understanding of the requirements of pupils with special educational needs Ability to work with parents as partners Personal resilience Benefits: Opportunities for professional development and training.
