Location: This is a Hybrid Working role with a requirement to attend our London Farringdon office, Midlands Super Hub and visits to other Royal Mail sites as the business requires.

Royal Mail are looking for Learning Consultant to join their team on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. You will act as a consultative partner to the business, taking a proactive approach to deeply understand learning needs and requirements across Operations.
This strategic role is critical in advancing the learning and capability agenda within Royal Mail’s Operations function. You will lead the design and execution of transformative learning solutions that align with Royal Mail's broader business strategy and drive the development of integrated learning plans to ensure cohesion and strategic alignment within the function.
Reporting to the Head of Learning Transformation, the successful candidate will play a key role in positioning Royal Mail as an employer of choice by building the skills and capabilities needed to thrive in a competitive landscape.
About the role
* You’ll partner closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Leads, and Functional Leads to understand the strategic objectives of the Operations function, and design learning strategies that address current and future capability needs, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
* You’ll lead the end-to-end design and delivery of capability development initiatives, working collaboratively with the Capability Development team, Functional SMEs, learning partners, and third-party vendors, taking accountability for learning transformation projects that drive measurable improvements in performance.
* You’ll support the cultural transformation within the Operations function, driving engagement and embedding a continuous learning mindset to sustain functional excellence and support the company’s broader transformation agenda.
* You’ll evaluate the impact and effectiveness of learning solutions through robust analysis, using recognized learning evaluation models to demonstrate return on investment and to continuously improve learning interventions.
* You’ll drive consistency in learning approaches across the Operations function, fostering a culture of sharing best practices, and applying governance to ensure high-quality learning experiences that meet the needs of employees.
About You
To truly excel in the role, you will possess the necessary skills and experience listed below:
Key Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in a learning and development role, with at least 3-5 years leading the design and implementation of learning strategies that drive business transformation.
* Strong business partnering/consulting skills with the ability to diagnose learning needs, influence senior stakeholders, and provide expert advice to shape learning agendas.
* Demonstrated ability to act as a learning partner, working closely with business leaders to translate complex business needs into impactful learning solutions.
* Experience in designing and delivering blended learning & development solutions within large, complex, and matrixed organisations.
* Experience in creating integrated learning plans that align learning interventions across functions to meet broader strategic objectives.
* Experience with learning evaluation and analytics, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for continuous improvement.
* Experience of working in a large complex matrix organisation.
Qualifications:
* CIPD qualification in Learning & Development or equivalent.
* Coaching qualification (Desirable)
* Accredited in psychometric tools/testing.
