About the Opportunity
Our Nuclear Power Engineering & Technical Solutions (NPETS) business provides engineering and technical solutions across the full nuclear lifecycle up to Decommissioning. We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join our NPETS team supporting our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Generation with their nuclear fleet in the UK.
Flexible working arrangements between office and home may be possible, however the role will predominantly be based at the Power Station. Key responsibilities will be:
* Accountable to the client PPM for successful delivery of all aspects of assigned projects, setting the project execution strategy in agreement with the client PPM.
* Based at EDF Heysham Power Station with occasional business travel to other UK sites/stations.
* Proven track record of working within highly regulated environments with high safety standards and culture.
* Good communication and organisational skills with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
* Degree educated, ideally in engineering or a related subject.
* APMP formal project management qualification or equivalent, versed in modern project management techniques.
* Understanding of Safety Cases, relevant Health and Safety and Environment legislation including CDM.
* Good understanding of quality assurance and experience with commercial, contractual, and financial project drivers.
* Demonstrable experience of managing projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
* Experience of estimating, cost control, planning, and commercial awareness.
* Proficient in the use of reporting tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and in estimating, scheduling, programming and risk tools.
