6. You will support the planning function in ensuring projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored. Leads application of specific planning/scheduling methods, techniques and tools.
7. Provide and manage the planning framework, systems and resources to deliver an effective planning and reporting service to project managers and sponsors.
8. Facilitate the production of the project WBS.
9. Prepare, monitor and forecast baseline and working schedules during all project phases.
10. Establish and maintain a basis of schedule for all schedules produced.
11. Ensure all applicable schedule activities have rules of credit and quantity tracking mechanisms established.
12. Identify and track all changes or potential changes to the project baseline and subsequent underpinning of change control mechanisms.
13. Prepare progress reports, including earned value analysis, identifying critical areas and trends and recommend recovery options.
14. Maintain the planning database and validate data across systems.
15. Provide the required information to support the risk process.
16. Provide project outturns against baseline for LFE and knowledge management.
17. Ensure the accuracy of data communicated and reported to all stakeholders.
18. The highlighting of any current and potential issues to the senior planning engineer, PCM and project manager.
19. Maintain compliance with approved processes, procedures and project execution plans.
20. The active contribution to continuous improvement of the functional quality and performance of project controls.

You’ll need to have:
28. Exposure of working as a Primavera P6 project planner on large scale infrastructure projects ideally for a tier 1 contractor or a client side consultancy.
29. A construction related degree (civil/structural engineering, or construction/project management or equivalent).
30. Digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
31. Experience of working on large projects/programmes.
32. A construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
33. Working in a large portfolio of projects.
34. Mentoring and upskilling of inexperienced planners.
35. Implementation of planning principles within the project management community.
36. Working with large range of stakeholders.
37. Planning of complicated infrastructure projects and summarisation of these into portfolio level schedules.
38. Experienced P6 user (P6 pro).
39. Familiarisation with P6 EPPM (Web) – for config management.
40. Management of large data sets into simple reporting formats, through coding and layout manipulation.

50. Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
51. Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
52. Strong commercial and financial acumen.
53. Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
54. Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
55. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
