Exciting opportunity to join our team as a Support Practitioner in Clydebank We're thrilled to announce the opening of our new service in Clydebank, where our dedicated team will provide 24/7 support to five individuals on a journey towards greater independence. This outcome-focused programme is all about helping people grow in confidence, develop essential life skills and achieve their goal of moving into their own homes within the community. Our team is on the lookout for understanding and creative individuals with a positive attitude to join their new service as Support Practitioners. These are full-time, permanent roles (39 hours per week) with the chance to truly make a difference. You don't need previous experience in care to join our team as a Support Practitioner as we recruit based on your values and transferable skills and will provide all the training you need to succeed, including the opportunity to complete your SVQ. The Role Our supported individuals have diverse needs, including Mental Health challenges, learning disabilities, Acquired Brain Injuries, addictions and past trauma. As a Support Practitioner in a trauma-aware practice, you'll play a vital role in empowering them to lead fulfilling lives and achieve their goals. Your support will include: Managing personal finances and medication prompts. Assisting with personal care, appointments, and activities. Providing emotional and social support. We're looking for someone who's ready to take an active interest in the hobbies and passions of those we support. Whether it's discovering new opportunities, encouraging social connections, or reducing isolation, you'll help individuals lead the lives they choose, on their own terms. To be an amazing Support Practitioner, we'll need you to: Have an empathetic and caring nature. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Confidence in using computers. Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own. Good organisational skills. Shift Patterns Our new team will provide 24/7 support, including early shifts, late shifts, sleepovers, and potentially waking nights. Start and finish times may vary as the individuals settle into their new routines. The role will also include working weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis. The sleepover part of your shift is not included in your contracted hours, so for every sleep you cover you will receive an additional £90.40 in your pay.
