As a Chef de Partie, you will assist in running an efficient and profitable kitchen, using quality ingredients to inspire flavourful menus and prepare attractive food. You will prepare and cook dishes with guidance from the Head Chef or Senior Chef. What will I be doing?
As a Chef de Partie at Saunton Sands Hotel, you will perform tasks and follow instructions given to you by a Head or Senior Chef. You are responsible for maintaining your kitchen station and equipment throughout your shift whilst showing a willingness to progress and deliver customer satisfaction through the dishes you prepare. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
1. Ordering quality fresh and frozen food for daily and specific needs.
2. Completing requisitions and keeping necessary stocktake records.
3. Ensuring deliveries are stored in the correct locations in a timely manner.
4. Maintaining kitchen area and equipment, ensuring your station and utensils are hygienic at all times.
5. Preparing and envisioning varying menus, which may change daily.
6. Delivering a speedy service while ensuring the quality and presentation of food.
7. Considering portion control to minimise waste while preparing dishes.
8. Understanding and complying with company policy on HASAWA, HACCP, fire precautions, and legal requirements.
9. Establishing relationships with attending kitchen staff and other members of staff through the hotel to assist in delivering service to customers.
10. Being prepared to work in other Brend establishments from time to time, expanding your knowledge of varying kitchens and dishes.
