Description
* Mental Health and Addictions Nurse 1FTE
At Arowhenua Whānau Services, our purpose is to ensure that the needs of Māori living in the Takiwā of Te Rūnanga o Arowhenua are responded to in an appropriate way by bringing whānau, hapū, iwi, and Māori community development into a relationship with health, social services, and education provision.
As a registered nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and managing the needs of tangata whaiora and whānau. You will complete nursing assessments and develop individual care plans to enable tangata whaiora and whānau to meet their goals. You will need to be a confident communicator and decision-maker with strong clinical competencies.
These roles would suit registered nurses who have worked in a kaupapa Māori and community environment. We want to hear from registered nurses who are dedicated to providing high-quality care and are responsive to tangata whaiora and whānau needs.
Working days are Monday to Friday, although hours may be negotiated.
Essential to the role is:
* A registered nurse qualification and a current NZ practicing certificate
* A full NZ driver's license
Due to the nature of our mahi and working closely with vulnerable whānau, police vetting, and MSD checks are a condition of employment.
