Recruitment Consultant
Our Client is looking for a Business Development Manager or Lead (level subject to experience) to join their Commercial Team to lead their OOH channel, hunting down new customers and unlocking distribution across Foodservice, Wholesale, Contract Catering, Travel, High Street and Health & Wellness.
This is a key role for our client and the right candidate will be integral for them to deliver against their ambitious growth plans consolidating our position as the leader in our category.
The person
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven self-starter with a real passion for helping our client to deliver on its mission. A natural relationship builder; you will bring high energy, a passion for interacting with people and a never give up attitude to achieve your objectives of delivering new business.
A first-class new business go-getter that can use your extensive knowledge of the OOH channel to win people over and get product onto shelves through effective negotiation and building positive & collaborative relationships. You will be able to use your contacts and experience in this channel to open doors that would be shut to others.
Role and responsibilities
* Seamlessly hunting down new business across our OOH channel to build the Clients ever-growing customer base, targeting the “Big Fish” that will make the biggest difference to their P&L.
* Reporting directly into the Head of Sales.
* Build long-lasting relationships with customers to promote a credible, trusted supplier that operates with discipline and maximises growth opportunities.
* Own the approach to hunting new business, leading best in class sales pitches & negotiations to land & deliver revenue driving listings.
* Help lead the customer marketing approach to ensure the client wins at the first moment of truth, and your accounts have everything they need to grow ahead of the market.
* Own the P&L for the OOH channel to ensure the business has visibility of performance to date and year to go projections.
* 4+ years’ experience of winning new business in the OOH channel (Foodservice, Wholesale, Contract Catering, Travel, High Street, Health & Wellness) with a proven track record of gaining new business and delivering incredible results.
* Experience of owning and managing the P&L of the OOH channel within an SME/scale-up business.
* An extensive network within the OOH channel.
* Great at building relationships and influencing decision makers both externally and internally.
* Excellent communication & presentation skills, with confidence when pitching to customers.
* A go-getter with a never give up attitude. Self-motivation, persistence and perseverance are your strengths.
* Excellent influencing skills as well as a hands-on attitude.
* Foodie who loves to lead an active lifestyle.
* Great attention to detail.
* Responds well to pressure & hitting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
