Job Title: Area Sales Manager Plumbing & Heating
Industry Sector: Gas piping, fittings, Accessories, hot and cold piping systems, tap connectors coming and connectors for heat pumps, plumbing and heating merchants, plumbing and heating contractors, M&E contractors, consulting engineers, new build, regional housebuilders, housing developers, national and independent plumbing & heating Merchants and associated Fixing & Fastening
Area to be covered: South of M4 and South of Thames (Not Kent)
Remuneration: £45,000 + £6,000-£12,000 Commission Year One and £24,000 Year Two

The role of the Area Sales Manager Plumbing & Heating will involve:
1. Field sales position selling a manufactured range of gas piping systems and newly launched innovative products including; piping systems for hot & cold water, underfloor piping systems and connectors for heat pumps.
2. 60% of your time account managing plumbing and heating merchants from City Plumbing, HPS, UKPS as well as small independent plumbing and heating merchants and buying groups.
3. 35% new business development stimulating demand with plumbing and heating installers/contractors and M&E contractors (5% with mechanical consultants).
4. Taking an area with huge growth potential, only available due to retirement.
5. Growing the patch from £18,000 per month.
6. Initial target 24k per month, but realistically £150,000-£200,000 will be possible after 18 months.
7. Huge growth area in water piping, likely these newly launched products for hot and cold will be bigger than the gas piping systems.
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Plumbing & Heating with:
1. Plumbing & heating associated field sales experience.
2. Open to working for a plumbing and heating merchant with field sales experience, or manufacturer field sales representative with plumbing and heating contractor/installer and plumbing and heating merchant customer experience.
3. Passionate.
4. Treat area as if it was your own business.
5. Ability to grow with the company.
6. Someone looking for longevity in the role.
7. Specific gas piping systems knowledge is not essential.
8. Strong account management and relationship building skills as well as new business ability.
9. Proven track record in field sales and territory management.
10. Autonomous in approach.
