To be a key member of the Charity team, supporting the Head of Charity and Volunteers on a range of administrative supporter care activities to harness, develop and maximise support and engagement from a variety of stakeholders.
To be a champion of the cause and have a passion for making a difference to the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust staff and patients. The role requires experience of working in supporter care with strong administration and Microsoft Office and digital skills. This role will also provide the opportunity to become involved in fundraising events and will include engagement with stakeholders including members of the public, internal staff and departments as well as external organisations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that income into the charity is recorded appropriately, that donors are thanked and communicated with effectively and that supporter records are kept up to date. As part of the role, the successful candidate will provide excellent supporter and stakeholder care and use their proficient writing skills as part of this.
As a small, busy team, we need an individual who can really 'hit the ground running' and be confident in being a main point of contact for our charity.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining effective communication with Trust staff and external charity supporters utilising a variety of platforms. This includes administering donations and thanking supporters in a prompt and efficient manner, by drafting and posting letters, emails and making phone calls where appropriate. To act as the first point of contact into the charity, dealing with enquiries.
Fundraising and engagement duties include:
1. To support the Head of Charity and Volunteers in securing new and existing supporters to sign up to challenge events, fundraising campaigns and activities, specific appeals and volunteering roles.
2. To support the Head of Charity and Volunteers in creating engaging communications including social media, email, charity website and internal platforms to raise awareness of the charity.
Administration and reporting duties include:
1. To keep accurate supporter records and recording income accurately and help create detailed income reports.
2. To support fund holders and clinical staff in all aspects of fund holder responsibilities, ensuring applications for funding are effectively administered and that fund holder information is maintained effectively.
3. To process Purchase Orders, receipting activity and resolve any discrepancies with the Finance Team.

6. The post holder will need to manage sensitive data and understand data consent.
Fundraising and engagement
1. To support the Head of Charity and Volunteers in securing new and existing supporters to sign up to challenge events, fundraising campaigns and activities, specific appeals and volunteering roles.
2. To support Head of Charity and Volunteers with internal and external fundraising and awareness events as required, potentially in a range of locations requiring travel. This may involve some weekend and evening work.
3. To support the Head of Charity and Volunteers in creating engaging communications including social media, email, charity website and internal platforms to raise awareness of the charity, its purpose and its opportunities.
4. Where necessary, ensure the safe collection, transportation and depositing of donations made on or off site in accordance with standard procedures.
5. To manage fundraising materials stock and distribute these to supporters as needed.
6. The post holder will support the Head of Charity and Volunteers with the production of creative content for communications, including identifying appropriate case studies for press releases and public outreach communications, working with the Trusts Communications and Design teams.

Qualifications
* Educated to "A" level or equivalent diploma
* Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience
Experience
* Significant experience in a customer service/supporter care role, providing excellent supporter service (email, letters, phone and face-to-face)
* Experience of using databases and accurately handling data entry
* Previous experience in developing accurate written materials and record keeping, using high attention to detail
* Previous experience in creating social media content /marketing materials/stakeholder communications in a professional setting
* Experience in working or volunteering in the charity sector
* Previous experience of fundraising in the charity sector, either paid or voluntary
* Experience of managing social media channels in a professional setting
Skills
* Good IT skills with experience in Microsoft office and proficiency in Word & Excel
* Confident communicator, able to build working relationships with people from a range of backgrounds and levels
* Excellent standard of written English
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate with donors and staff
* Experienced and effective team worker skilled at networking and establishing positive relationships and rapport with all stakeholders
