Job Description
Godolphin is seeking to recruit an IT Infrastructure Manager to join our established global IT team, who are based at our headquarters, in Newmarket. Reporting to the Head of IT, this role supports the IT operations of the business across multiple global sites and assists with the roll out of new IT projects, including software deployments, system updates, and supporting business continuity.
About the role
* Assist in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure across multiple global locations.
* Acting as the IT technical lead for the business, advising on new and emerging technologies.
* Support the Head of IT in developing and implementing IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
* Oversee network security, system updates, and data protection to ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations and best practice.
* Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues, at all levels.
* Coordinate with global IT teams to streamline processes and implement best practices.
* Assist in managing IT budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement of IT equipment and services.
* Lead and mentor junior IT staff, providing guidance and technical expertise.
* Develop and maintain IT documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident reports. Ensuring that documentation is created and maintained up to date in accordance with the systems being operated by the business.
* Monitor system performance, identify risks, and propose solutions for systems optimisation and improvement.
* Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices and assist in responding to security incidents.
Qualifications
About you
* Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, is desirable.
* Professional Certifications from the likes of CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, and ITIL are a plus.
* 5+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
* Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networking, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
* Experience with enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
* Proficiency in ITIL frameworks and IT service management (ITSM) methodologies.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced global environment.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external vendors.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks efficiently.
* Experience in a multi-site, global organisation with a complex IT environment.
* Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).

Due to the nature of the business, working hours may include evenings and weekends on occasion, therefore a degree of flexibility is required. There will also be a requirement for occasional UK and European travel.
