GRG Executive have been exclusively engaged with an International Third Party Logistics provider, in their search for a Business Unit Director to oversee their Consumer products Vertical Nationally encompassing contracts across Fashion, Retail and Ecommerce.
This role will have overall National responsibility for the Verticals growth and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a UK wide vertical market strategy that encompasses and serves the needs of the operations, customer revenues and internal business partners to deliver efficient, profitable customer centric solutions
* Develop and implement a sales strategy and plan to grow revenue and profitability across the business in line with UK strategy goals and Consumer products expectations.
* Lead a culture of operational and account management excellence that delivers services to customers in excess of the competition and customer expectations
* Implement and lead plans to grow the business and brand through existing and new customers and through the identification of attractive new opportunities for the business to move into
* Hold full P&L forecasting and budgeting responsibility and to manage the cost and profitability for the UK business and each department
* Define, monitor and report performance against key business metrics
* Develop and lead a strong management team
* Ensure there are best practice processes to support excellence in inventory, logistics and customer service
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience within a Ecommerce Vertical within a 3PL
* Focus on Warehousing not Transport operations
* Strong Strategic Leadership Experience and real people management expertise
* Experience in growing an leading teams with a real focus on people development
* Experience in running a vertical within a 3PL environment
* Commercial Acumen when managing Accounts and strong operational skills
* An entrepreneurial mindset having full accountability for a business within a business
