Through your strong leadership skills, youll oversee train and support the Purchase Ledger team fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment The Purchase Ledger team will be processing supplier invoices, expenses, proformas, supplier payments, and doing bank reconciliations When it comes to more complex queries, youll pick them up and resolve them efficiently and effectively to keep supplier and internal relationships strong You will reconcile the Company Credit and Pre-Paid Cards as well as process FOREX payments making sure all currency variances are accounted for and cleared from the ledgers Youll make sure that aged invoices are chased internally to ensure that suppliers are paid When required youll make payments for Wages / PAYE / Manual Pensions / Prepaid Cards and any other payments Youll oversee the reconciliation of bank statements and investigate and resolve discrepancies With Process Improvement activities youll enhance efficiency and accuracy in P2P activities and develop the standard operating procedures You will prepare and present regular reports on activities and performance to your Purchase Ledger Manager Assisting in month-end and year-end closing processes, you will provide necessary documentation and analysis What are we looking for in you? A strong leader who is as comfortable overseeing the team as they are working through the detail needed to make supplier payments Experience as a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable specialist in a fast-paced business If you have completed AAT level 4 that would be great Organised and resilient under pressure with confidence working with high volumes of data whilst maintaining a high standard of accuracy Experience using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Drive and experience with Purchase ledger / Accounts Payable that enables you to identify, challenge and recommend process improvements Strong focus on customer success.
