Position: Field Service Engineer
Location: Field based – Manchester and surrounding areas
Job type: Permanent, Full Time - Monday to Friday, 39 hrs per week

Key Responsibilities:
* Follow service itinerary and procedures, optimising time and minimising costs.
* Ensure that all tasks are carried out in compliance with relevant statutory legislation and local policies and codes of practice including Health and Safety, COSHH and safe working procedures, reporting any incidents.
* Undertake fault diagnosis, rectification and maintenance on electrical/mechanical equipment.
* Understand and work towards Key Point Indicators.
* Complete and submit all relevant documentation accurately on a hand-held device and within agreed timescales to meet Service Level Agreements.
* Liaising with the customer, once work is allocated giving notice of visit with an agreed date and time.
* Request necessary materials for work completion.
* Ensure work area is clean and documentation is completed post-service.
* Provide feedback and contribute ideas for product and service improvement.
* Maintain all tools, spares and equipment within his/her care in a safe working condition highlighting anything unsafe to the Regional Service Manager immediately.
* Support other Service Engineers within the team when required.
* Follow infection prevention and control policies to protect patients, staff and visitors from health-care associated infections.
* Ensure compliance with Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and agreed Service Contracts with regards to Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998.
* Following induction and departmental training maintaining a working knowledge of policies, procedures and work instructions ensuring they are implemented at all times.
Qualifications:
* City and Guilds/NTEC/ONC or similar qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering (desirable)
* Experience in mechanical/electrical engineering (essential)
* Familiarity with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, and OHSAS 18001:2007 (desirable)
* Excellent communication skills and a high level of customer service.
* Valid UK driving license

* Have an understanding of electrical or mechanical engineering
* The ability to work to deadlines
* Good time management
* A knowledge of the principles of Health and Safety
* Basic IT skills and the ability to work with an iPad and iPhone
