HEAD OF ESTATES AND FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

MRG has been mandated by a leading UK leisure operator seeking a skilled Head of Property and Facilities Management. This strategic leadership role is essential to overseeing the company’s extensive estates and facilities management services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Define team roles to meet operational demands, while guiding and mentoring the estates and facilities team. Implement training programs to foster professional growth and high standards in property management.
* Service and Issue Management: Act as the escalation point for complex service matters, ensuring swift resolutions and continuous process enhancements.
* Strategic Planning: Develop and execute estates and facilities management strategies to maximise income, reduce costs, and mitigate risks, aligning with the organisation’s overarching business goals.
* Compliance and Safety: Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe environment and maintaining the highest standards in estates functionality.
* Portfolio Management: Oversee acquisitions, leasing, and disposals. Manage lease structuring, renewals, and ensure compliance across the estates portfolio.
* Asset Management: Lead asset management initiatives, addressing underutilised areas and managing both preventative and responsive maintenance.
* Financial Planning and Reporting: Collaborate with Finance to create forecasts, budgets, and reports that support business objectives. Oversee estates-related expenses and service charge queries.
* Stakeholder and Supplier Relationships: Build robust relationships with landlords, suppliers, internal teams, and external partners to support effective service delivery.
* Operational Excellence: Work closely with commercial teams to align estates strategies with service delivery goals, using technology and systems to streamline operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Professional Accreditation: Chartered Surveyor with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) membership.
* Experience: Demonstrated expertise managing large estates portfolios, with a background in strategic planning and estates optimisation.
* Leadership: Proven ability to manage diverse estates-related challenges and high-performing teams.
* Technical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.
* Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, adept at managing complex stakeholder relationships.
Desirable Competencies:
* NEBOSH Certification: Health & Safety or Fire Safety.
* Innovative Mindset: Experience in process improvement, space optimisation, and lease negotiation.
