We are seeking a Project Engineer (FD&A) to join our dynamic team, working across London and the South East. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring fire alarm systems and life safety systems are installed to the highest standards and in compliance with all relevant regulations. You will collaborate closely with project managers, sub-contractors, clients, and other key stakeholders to guarantee successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities: System Design Review: Work with design teams to ensure fire alarm system specifications comply with relevant codes and standards. Installation Inspection: Conduct site visits to inspect ongoing installations, ensuring they meet quality standards and are progressing as planned. System Testing: Perform comprehensive testing of fire alarm systems to ensure functionality, both on individual components and integrated systems. Commissioning Support: Assist with commissioning by gathering third-party information, troubleshooting issues, and resolving challenges during installation. Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including compliance certificates, Q&A audits, and test reports. Client Training: Provide training to end-users and maintenance staff on the operation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.Experience & Skills Required: In-depth understanding of fire detection and alarm system installation and commissioning. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with PC and word processing software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of systems integration, cause & effect matrices, and 3rd party display systems. Familiarity with AOV, PAVA, Warden Call, and Evacuation systems is a plus.Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing projects from initiation to completion. Industry-recognized certifications are advantageous.Requirements: Must pass a DBS check.
