Tes is supporting the appointment of a Executive Headteacher/CEO to join a Academy Trust based in East Sussex.
The Trust is seeking an outstanding person to be their Executive Headteacher/CEO and to lead their mission to improve the educational outcomes and life chances for all of their pupils, students and their families.
Their schools are very different, but they are all highly successful. Based on four sites across Hastings, St Leonards and Bexhill, collectively they support around 450 pupils (including a small number of residential pupils/ students) who experience special educational needs and disabilities including Autism, Speech Language and Communication Difficulties, Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties.
As Executive Headteacher/CEO, the successful candidate will work closely with the Trustees and the wider Trust and School leadership teams, to develop and implement their Trust strategy, focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for all their learners in each of their provisions. They are committed to supporting pupils/students to be as independent as possible and to be well prepared for their next steps in learning and ultimately, life beyond school and college. Their focus is on making excellent provision that enables pupils/students to thrive. Their values of kindness, respect and tolerance underpin everything they do.
Their ideal candidate will demonstrate the drive, ambition and ability to ensure the continued success of the Trust. They will have highly successful school/trust leadership experience and a proven track record in leading high performing educational provisions for children and young people with a wide range of additional needs, preferably in a range of sectors. They should have a demonstrable experience of strong financial, business and estates management and success in building effective partnerships and links with a range of organisations including Local Authorities and similar schools/trusts. The ability to think and plan strategically with the ability to motivate others and work collegiately, the Executive Headteacher/CEO will build and develop the Trust’s staff and provide leadership for their entire community creating a positive organisational culture that priorities quality of provision, professional development and continuous improvement.
