Job Description:
We are searching for an experienced Restructuring Advisory Administrator - MVL. Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM’s current and future clients within the middle market. Overall job purpose:
An exciting opportunity to develop a breadth of commercial skills and experience across advisory and formal members voluntary liquidation assignments with the Restructuring National Corporate Simplification team. You will assist in the delivery of orderly wind downs, corporate reorganisation assignments and work on members voluntary liquidation appointments across a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring that clients and other interested parties receive a quality service in all respects.
Responsibilities:
1. To complete assignments in accordance with the Firm’s standard procedures and where relevant statutory obligations, and to confirm arrangements with the client, company, or appointer, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
2. To work closely alongside other team members to plan and execute assignments, and potentially manage appropriate cases as required. This may involve:
1. Working with the National Corporate Simplification team to provide training and support to junior staff within the team.
2. Progression of a Members Voluntary Liquidation from commencement to closure.
3. Assisting with the completion of and seeking approval of engagement letters and ancillary documents.
4. Completion of KPI’s for Manager and Partner approval.
5. Ensuring assigned diary lines are completed within the deadline.
6. Inputting data onto the internal systems, IPS and Virtual Cabinet.
7. General case administration including raising bills.
8. Members Voluntary Liquidation experience preferred with further opportunities to develop skills in this area.
3. Understanding the challenges currently being faced by the client and developing solutions alongside the Partner/ Director and other RSM staff:
4. To assist with client take on procedures and timely completion of CEAP.
5. To ensure that the job is completed within budget, and to discuss all materials points arising with the assignment partner and client or appointer as these arise.
6. To liaise with the shareholders, directors and other interested parties throughout any assignment as required.
7. To ensure that appropriate liaison takes place with all other departments.
8. To monitor the profitability and recoverability of work in progress and to bill clients on a timely basis.
9. To assist in marketing activities as required/available.
10. Attend staff meetings and training as required.
11. Maintain an awareness and observation of Health and Safety issues within the Firm.
12. Carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the role and its grading, as requested by the Line Manager or Head of Department.
Personal and professional qualities:
1. Previous experience in client handling.
2. Experience in Restructuring Advisory and / or Members Voluntary Liquidations in a similar role and CPI qualified would be an advantage, but not pre-requisite as full training will be given.
3. Strong organisational and time management skills and able to demonstrate a strong commercial outlook.
4. Proven communication skills due to internal and external client contact.
5. Commitment to high quality delivery within agreed timeframes.
6. Interest in promoting the national service line both internally and externally.
