The Eagle Lodge has been an iconic landmark in Bishopbriggs since 1958. The venue incorporates a large restaurant, outdoor terrace, and multiple suites for occasions such as weddings, engagement parties, birthday parties, private dining, and funerals.
As the Events Manager, you will be the face of the venue, liaising with guests and arranging meetings where necessary to ensure that expectations of each event are met prior to the day. This role requires strong communication, organization, and delegation skills. Working as part of a team, you will communicate with fellow managers and staff members daily to execute the requirements for every event.
Work Schedule:
Working 40 hours over 5 days within office hours Monday - Saturday, 10 am - 6 pm. However, you may be required to attend specific weddings and events, resulting in occasionally working evenings and Sundays.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaising with guests daily.
* Managing back office software by gathering information from guests and updating details of future events.
* Knowledge of all F&B standards (i.e., quality of presentation, service, and products).
* Regular stock takes of crockery, cutlery, and linen.
* Ensuring high levels of presentation both front of house and back of house at all times.
* Ensuring teams are trained and developed in line with correct procedures, policies, and service standards.
* Monitoring the quality of food presentation and portion control, liaising with the kitchen daily.
* Contributing ideas to both food and beverage menu development as part of the management team, along with the support of our Executive Chef.
* Assisting the management and staff team on the day of certain events to ensure a high standard of service and that guest expectations are met.
