The role will start from the 2027 series. As a Principal Examiner, you will be responsible for the standardisation and marking of this paper for the exam series, with a view to also being responsible for this paper in future examination sessions.
Duties will include:
* Online selection of standardisation materials for the exam series
* Management and standardisation of a large team of Assessment Specialists
* PE check of assessment materials
* Following and overseeing deadlines in the completion of marking for the effective delivery of results
* Working in collaboration with the Product Manager for the syllabus to manage these duties
* Management of the grade reviewing of scripts
* Timely submission of reports
Requirements are that applicants should:
* Have at least 2 years teaching experience of a relevant subject
* Have a degree in History (or a related subject)
* Have prior experience of examining in a senior role such as Principal Examiner or Team Leader
* Have management experience
* Have experience of writing reports
* Be able to use IT confidently and effectively
* Have a PC/Mac, fast broadband, and IT skills
