Our admin and clerical teams are a crucial component in the success of this Trust wide service. In order to support the Department, we have created an opportunity for experienced Office Administrators/MDT Co-ordinators to join our Team working at either The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham or Birmingham Heartlands sites.
As part of the invaluable Team, you will be a reliable and committed individual who will help ensure we are continually adhering to our Trust values of Kind Connected and Bold. Working closely and reporting to the Office Manager, you will have a direct and positive impact on how we care for our patients within the hospital.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will be that of an Office Administrator and will include a combination of the following duties:
1. Working closely with Consultant Histopathologists to collate material and reports for Multi-Disciplinary Team meeting (MDT) discussion.
2. Responding to, and initiating telephone and email enquiries.
3. Management of internal and referred material (blocks and slides).
4. Working to tight deadlines.
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be confident to make judgements unaided. You will be able to work proactively to problem solve and work on your own initiative.

Starting salary: £24,071 up to £25,674

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good General Education (e.g. GCSE English and Maths A-C) GCSE Level 9-4
* Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment
Experience
* Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience
* Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook)
* Experience of using IT systems
