Solar PV Electrician\n\nLocation: Cardiff\nSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 p.a + Van + Fuel Card\nHours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (some flexibility required)\nJob Type: Permanent\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are looking for a skilled solar PV electrician to join a growing renewable energy team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar PV systems in both domestic and small-scale commercial settings. This is a great opportunity to work on varied projects, expand your expertise, and contribute to a greener future.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Install and maintain solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, EV chargers, and iBoosts\n\n * \n\n Perform electrical installations and modifications in compliance with industry standards\n\n * \n\n Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and fault diagnosis for new and existing systems\n\n * \n\n Carry out remote monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairs\n\n * \n\n Conduct site surveys and advise customers on system design and functionality\n\n * \n\n Design and install cable routes and panel stringing for commercial projects\n\n * \n\n Gain experience with flat roof and in-roof solar mounting systems\n\n * \n\n Lead and manage solar projects, including occasional travel outside Cardiff\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n * \n\n Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently\n\n * \n\n A team player who supports colleagues as the company grows\n\n * \n\n Previous experience with solar PV systems\n\n * \n\n Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence (required for travel between job sites)\n\nQualifications & Certifications\n\n * \n\n JIB Gold Card\n\n * \n\n 2391 Inspection & Testing\n\n * \n\n 18th Edition Wiring Regulations\n\n * \n\n NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation\n\n * \n\n BPEC Solar PV qualification (preferred)\n\n * \n\n Battery storage experience (desirable)\n\nWhy Apply?\n\n * \n\n Be part of a fast-growing renewable energy company\n\n * \n\n Great career development opportunities\n\n * \n\n Company van + fuel card provided\n\nIf you're an experienced solar PV electrician looking to advance your career in the renewable energy sector, apply today
