About the Role
As part of a recent business expansion we have an opening for a dynamic Management Accountant who can add real value to our operations.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This position requires proficiency in Sage accounting and payroll software and a strong understanding of financial management principles.
This is a full-time role based at our Grimsby site, with one day a week in Horncastle, Lincolnshire, so you’ll need your own transport.
You’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact by streamlining our financial operations and bringing fresh ideas to the table. We’re looking for someone who can get creative – if you see a way to improve a process or add value, we’re all ears. This is your chance to put your stamp on our accounting processes and make them your own.
We're looking for someone with solid experience in Sage 50 and Sage Payroll, ideally with a background as a management accountant and an ACCA qualification.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Your role is crucial in helping us streamline our day-to-day financial operations.
* VAT & Tax Compliance: Take the lead on VAT returns, ensuring we’re compliant and on time – every time.
* Invoicing & Accounts Receivable: Oversee invoicing, keep client accounts up to date, and make sure the cash flows smoothly.
* Payroll: Manage payroll with precision and care, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
* Budgeting & Forecasting: Support budgeting processes, providing valuable insights to inform our strategic decisions.
* Financial Reporting: Generate monthly management accounts, cash forecasts, analyse variances, and help us see the bigger financial picture.
* Process Improvement: Use your experience to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency across the board.
Requirements:
* 2 years experience within an accounting position
* Proficient use of Sage 50 and Payroll
* Bachelor's degree in relevant field
* ACCA/CIMA qualified or similar
