Job Title: School Facilities Manager Location: Chelmsford, Essex Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Job type: Full Time, Permanent Start date: Immediate MLK Search is supporting a unique, high-achieving, 'Outstanding' group of Independent therapeutic Schools to recruit a facilities manager to work across their new trauma-centred cluster of therapeutic schools in Chelmsford, Essex. Reporting to the Head of Estates & Compliance, you will: provide day-to-day site management of the school sites in the cluster; overseeing maintenance and cleanliness to ensure sites remain safe, hygienic, and well presented ensure arrangements for security and site safety reflect that the safety of pupils and staff is always the prime objective. be the first point of contact for the school sites within the cluster, including in emergencies, outside of operational hours and at weekends. respond in priority order to work tasks logged online, to quickly repair and/or replace and/or make safe, broken/damaged infrastructure, organising for use of the company’s best-value contractors where necessary, ensure sites are secure, and alarm, CCTV, and door systems are operational and effective monitor and log all the required compliance checks across schools, including those relating to water, fire safety and maintenance of infrastructure, etc. maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and independent school standards. supervise any contractors, suppliers, or visitors while moving around or carrying out any works to the premises. NB. For this role, you are required to have a driver's license. A company van will be provided and there may be occasional travel to other sites in London and Maidstone. The ideal candidate will: Be experienced in facilities management; preferably across more than one site.
