* Experience leading the architecture design of enterprise-scale Human Capital Management (HCM), Financial, Commercial, or Estates solutions, preferably through the implementation of Software-as-a-Service solutions.
* Proficiency in micro-service and API-led architecture design.
* Familiarity with event-based architecture design and patterns.
* Knowledge of public cloud technologies and design patterns.
* Experience presenting to technical governance forums.
* Strong ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
* As a Lead Solutions Architect, you will be at the forefront of our solutions architecture innovations, supporting, guiding, and coaching a team of solutions architects. Together, you will design, maintain, and modernise systems that enable millions of citizens to access and use essential DWP services.
* You will work closely with the head of the role and engage with senior stakeholders to advise on architecture design strategy, steer the capability, and champion best practices and innovation in the architecture and wider digital community. Your role will involve:
* Leading the delivery of the technical and architecture design elements of services.
* Collaborating with engineering and delivery teams to create value-for-money solutions.
* Identifying and implementing architecture patterns.
* Resolving technical debt to reduce ongoing IT costs.
* Developing product roadmaps and representing designs at governance forums.
