VACANCY - QUANTITY SURVEYOR (WE ARE SEEKING TWO QS's)\n\nTYPE - This is a FULL TIME, PERMANENT JOB OPPORTUNITY (Due to 2 internal promotions)\n\nLOCATION - Covering sites across central belt of Scotland, based in the West Of Scotland\n\nSALARY - This GENUINELY will depend on the level the individual is at in their career so 40000 - 60000\n\nRemuneration:\nFor less experienced Surveyor looking for next move up 40,000 - 50,000 + Company Car + Fuel Card + Bonus.\n\nFor more experienced surveyor 50,000 - 60,000 + Company Car + Fuel Card + Bonus\n\nOVERVIEW\nLarge, very successful and well established Construction and Civil engineering business is expanding once again!\n\nJoining 6 Quantity Surveyors at various levels, the company is looking to add 1 more person, due to a significant business/contract awards.\n\nIndustry Sector: Groundworks, Civil Engineering, House Building.\n\nLocation: Office in Glasgow where QS will be based. The role will likely be about 60% in office and 40% on sites. Sites from Ayrshire, all through Central Scotland and up to Fife and Perth and Kinross, Smaller presence beyond Edinburgh bypass.\n\n\nThe role of the Quantity Surveyor -will involve:\n\nManaging the commercial aspects of various civils and groundwork projects involving but not limited to earthworks, sewer installation, roads and hard landscaped finishes for developers, house builders and local authorities.\n\n* Manage month end applications, invoicing & valuations within agreed timescales\n* Identify variations communicate to clients and obtain cost approval\n* Manage client contractual requirements within contract documents\n* Produce P&L reports for all projects\n* Manage sub-contractors\n* Attending site for internal/external meetings including site measures\n* Working on projects ranging in value from 20K to 20M\n\nThe ideal applicant will be a Fully Qualified Quantity Surveyor with:\n\nPreferred Quantity Surveying experience within the groundworks market sector, NOT Mandatory\n* Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent\n* Confident relationship builder\n* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal\n* IT literate (Microsoft Office)\n* Good financial and numerical skills\n* High levels of attention to detail\n* Ability to multi-task and work accurately under pressure\n* Familiar with cost reporting & valuations\n* Full UK driving license\n\nTHIS POSITION WILL MOVE TO INTERVIEW QUICKLY and the Hiring Manager is fully ready and committed to making a firm decision without any delays, so apply now!
