About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced lawyer to join a small, busy in-house legal team assisting with and advising on a variety of legal and regulatory issues including injunctions, possessions, commercial and residential leasehold disputes, disrepair claims, debt claims, prosecutions and inquests.
The type of work you will be dealing with is varied, interesting and includes:-
* Providing oral and written advice to colleagues, the Executive Management Team and Board.
* Producing court documents, agreements, briefing notes and policies and procedures.
* Representing PCH at court and in meetings with customers, statutory agencies and other third parties.
* Participating in the development of the in-house legal team and other colleagues across PCH
* Negotiation with third parties
Our ideal candidate for this role is someone who:
* A confident and conscientious qualified litigation lawyer with at least 3 years experience of advising and representing social landlords in all legal and regulatory aspects of housing, leasehold and asset management.
* Strong organisational skills, the ability to work within tight deadlines and identify and work towards priority tasks
* Is able to build strong and effective relations across PCH and work collaboratively.
