A school in Kidderminster is looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis, working 5 days per week. The successful candidate will be working with children who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, Behavioural Issues, and Trauma.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the specific needs of children with SEMH, Autism, and Trauma.
2. Provide support to students with challenging behaviours in a positive and structured manner.
3. Collaborate closely with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and other support staff.
4. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
5. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adjustments as necessary.
6. Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all students to thrive academically and emotionally.
Essential Requirements:
1. PGCE/QTS is a must (Qualified Teacher Status).
2. Experience working with children with SEMH, Autism, Behavioural Issues, and Trauma.
3. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage children with additional needs.
4. A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.
5. Excellent communication skills and a team player.
6. A passion for supporting children's development and well-being.
