Teaching Assistant – Supporting SEN Pupils

Are you passionate about supporting children and making a positive impact on their educational journey? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bristol. You will be working alongside a supportive team to provide assistance to two pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and help them thrive in a nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to two pupils with SEN, assisting with their academic and social development.
2. Work alongside the class teacher to deliver tailored learning plans and activities.
3. Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure the pupils are fully engaged and supported throughout their school day.
4. Collaborate with SEN specialists and teachers to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies as required.
5. Assist in the creation of a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and development.
Key Requirements:
1. Experience working with children in an educational setting (essential).
2. Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable.
3. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and staff.
4. Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. A proactive, adaptable approach to supporting the individual needs of the pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
