Care & Support Worker - Sheffield, S20 1DL Care & Support worker – Floating Support Sheffield 22.5 hours We are recruiting Support Workers for our Floating Support service in Sheffield. The service supports people with mental health conditions to continue to live independently in the community, supporting them to learn/ build upon their skills and pursue their life aspirations. You do not need to have previous experience of working in the field of mental health. We are looking for people with the right values, and an aspiration to help others improve their lives. You will be providing support to adults with complex mental health difficulties. You will be key to their wellbeing, working with them to ensure they can manage their mental health along with developing/regaining the skills needed to maintain a tenancy, day to day living, and engaging with the community. You will be assigned customers, with whom you will have regular key working sessions. You will need to be prepared to be flexibly, and some weekends and evening work will be required. You will not be expected to cover nightshifts, except in an emergency. This role is based in one of our Supported Living services in Sheffield. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has an interest in mental health and is looking to start a career in adult social care. The key is the ability to demonstrate a passion to deliver excellent service to vulnerable adults in a dignified manner. You will need to be able to work independently as well as within a team, and have the confidence to interact with customers with patience and compassion. It is essential to have a clean driving licence and have access to a vehicle. To meet our commitment to providing safe, high quality services to our customers we will complete an enhanced background check with the Disclosure and Barring service, which will include a check of the Adult Barred list, once an offer of employment is made.
