Role Purpose
Joneshouse Recruitment is seeking an experienced Registered Manager for a 3-bed EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) childrens home in Leicestershire. As a specialist recruitment agency, we work with high-quality providers to supply experienced staff who can make a difference in childrens lives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with The Childrens Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Ofsted standards, and the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF). They will lead and inspire the staff team, creating a child-focused and nurturing environment that achieves positive outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the home meets and exceeds Ofsted regulations and quality standards.
Lead a child-focused team, embedding a positive and transparent culture.
Oversee care planning, safeguarding, and risk management.
Work closely with external professionals, families, and agencies.
Maintain a safe and stimulating living environment for young people.
Ensure staff training, supervision, and development to maintain high performance.
Manage the day-to-day operations, including budgeting, recruitment, and compliance.
Ensure young people have access to education, recreational activities, and community involvement.
Support childrens transition to independent living when appropriate.
Respond to Ofsted inspections, audits, and regulatory requirements effectively.
Requirements:
? Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete within 3 years)
? At least 2 years of experience in a childrens residential home within the last 5 years
? Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and Ofsted regulations
? Experience managing EBD children and leading a team in a residential setting
? Ability to create a therapeutic, nurturing environment for young people
? Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
