We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Winchester, a category B Prison located in central Winchester.
HMP Winchester is a Category B Local remand prison located in Central Winchester accommodating approximately 670 male prisoners.
Although the site is close to Winchester city centre there is onsite parking for all staff and it is a short walk from Winchester train station.
Hours
37.5 hours a week working 7.5 hours a day Monday to Friday 1pm-9pm. There is also the option to pick up some bank shifts at weekends.
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £60,000 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Non Medical Prescriber your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Undertake Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver care to patients.
* Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.
* Provide treatment as required, including prescribing medication, within their sphere of competence.
* Carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after.
* Provide advice/support in relation to crisis situations, conditions, and treatment plans, based on medical and treatment history.
* Carry out a clinical review with the patient and update care plans accordingly.
