Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Electrical Technician to provide expert electrical engineering services across various sites in the Northeast region of the UK.
This position requires a flexible approach with occasional work away from home, with hotels provided. The role involves working a contracted 45-hour week, Monday to Friday, with 10-hour workdays and one hour unpaid lunch per day.
Flexible working hours include five days out of seven, including some regular weekends on a rota basis. Approximately every six weeks, you will participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota system, rewarded with an allowance and hourly pay when required to respond to emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in the on-call rota to support emergency responses.
* Perform reactive repairs on electrical systems to minimize downtime.
* Conduct servicing and maintenance of electrical services on mobile trailers and static sites throughout the UK, ensuring accurate completion of TMS work reports.
* Ensure compliance of electrical systems with BS7671 standards and regulations.
* Inspect and test equipment, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs while maintaining accurate records of all work performed.
* Maintain and calibrate test equipment, keeping detailed records of testing activities.
* Assess and communicate the need for additional labour support when necessary.
* Carry out general duties as required, including minor plumbing and HVAC system repairs.
Requirements:
* Completed an accredited apprenticeship (City and Guilds) with a minimum of 5 years practical experience.
* Qualified in test and inspection.
* Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
