- Provide tailored support for children with SEND, including those with complex needs.
- Assist with personal care where required (experience or willingness to do so is highly desirable).
- Use your initiative to engage children, encourage positive behaviour, and support their learning journey.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families, creating a nurturing environment.
- Be proactive in identifying any barriers to learning and offer solutions to overcome them.
- Promote positive interaction and support children in developing essential social and emotional skills.
About You:
- Passionate about working with children, particularly those in the early years and with additional needs.
- Creative, resilient, and proactive, with the ability to think on your feet.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team, but also confident in using your initiative.
- A willingness and experience to assist with personal care tasks where necessary.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable, but not essential. Experience outside of an educational setting working with children or individuals with SEND will be considered.
