Interim Head of Fundraising (18 month fixed term contract)
Youth Options are looking for an interim head of fundraising to join our Senior Management Team and help us to continue to support children and young people
The role is offered on a fixed term contract part time basis with flexible, hybrid home and office working arrangements from our Head Office in Eastleigh, Hampshire.
Your role will be to oversee the implementation of the fundraising strategy, working in collaboration with the CEO and Senior Management Team to build on existing income streams and develop effective plans to secure long-term sustainable grant and non grant fundraising.
You will manage the fundraising team which consists of community fundraiser, corporate fundraiser and grants officer, supporting them to develop clear strategies to meet our ambitious fundraising targets. In addition, you will personally lead on developing significant grant bids, working with the delivery team to achieve funding to support our strategic priorities, as well as coordinate the reporting of progress against existing grants to our supporters.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop, lead and deliver the fundraising strategy – deepening the existing supporter relationships, fundraising events and creating opportunities to engage more supporters.
· Establish and deliver clear stewardship plans for all supporters to maximise their engagement with Youth Options.
· Lead on grants fundraising including researching trust and grant funders, building relationships and submitting high quality grants.
· Oversee the implementation of our new CRM system.
· Management of fundraising team.
Person specification
· Leadership level experience of fundraising with demonstrable track record in securing large scale funding from multiple sources
· Experience of successful end-to-end grant management: from researching, grant writing, award and reporting, particular large grants.
· Excellent relationship management and communication skills with external and internal stakeholders
· Great management and leadership skills to inspire and motivate the team to achieve their targets.
· An interest in supporting children and young people and an affinity with our charities values of committed, supportive and inspiring.
