Role: Key Account Manager
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm (Friday till 4:00)
Rate: £15.54 per hour (£29,902)

First Choice are actively recruiting for a Key Account Manager to join our reputable client based in Junction 41 Wakefield. Our client is the largest local authority/public sector buying organisation in the UK.
Key accountabilities:
1. Identifying opportunities and converting sales for specified, targeted group of customers at regional level including existing, lapsed and prospect customers.
2. Identifying lead opportunities for EPT to achieve individual rebate targets.
3. Development and growth of all new accounts introduced at regional level.
4. Responsibility for the interrogation and selection of key data to prioritise key sales engagement activity utilising Phocas, Spirit and NAV.
5. To actively engage and collaborate with the regional BDM on a weekly, monthly basis to agree and implement tactical, bespoke activity that contributes to the agreed sales targets.
6. Responsibility for the direct follow up and engagement following any regional specific events and exhibitions, leading to further sales opportunities and account development.
7. Resolve any service issues and problems by serving as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
8. To work co-operatively with colleagues to ensure that the function operates consistently and effectively in the implementation and application of all departmental procedures and policies.
9. To keep up to date with information, training and development opportunities.
10. Ensuring that services are delivered in line with relevant legislation Equality and Diversity, Customer Care and Health and Safety.
11. To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post.
12. Decisions on the customer coverage plan for each Region in conjunction with the CDT manager.
13. Decisions with the support of the CDT Manager and Sales Operations Manager on effective sales deployment and sales engagement techniques to ensure commercial objectives are met.
14. Key Account Managers will be responsible for managing their own calling and work plan, ensuring that daily call targets are achieved.
For the role you will be able to demonstrate:
1. Experience of working in a telesales environment.
2. Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
3. IT skills including CRM, MS Office and a willingness to learn new skills.
4. Self-motivated with the ability to work alone and as part of a wider team.
5. Ability to prioritise, multi-task and take corrective action.
6. Willing to learn all core aspects of the department to support flexible working.
7. Excellent 'people' skills, especially via the telephone and electronic media.
8. Ability to overcome objections to reach decision makers.
9. Good written and verbal communication skills.
