Deputy Head of Centre Westwood
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced and skilled individual to take on the role of Deputy Head of Centre at the Westwood Centre, part of the Enterprise Learning Alliance.
The post requires the candidate to teach a wide range of lessons, including delivering sessions to small groups of pupils.
You will need experience of managing challenging behaviour and teaching personalised curricula for children with complex needs. Actively managing groups of children and coping with a complexity of challenging needs are essential for this role. The successful candidate should be able to analyse data and manage assessment systems to support ongoing school improvement, as well as lead on individual pupil progress. A proven record of driving an area of whole school improvement, including holding others to account, should be evident. Meeting deadlines, using initiative, and the ability to think strategically is essential.

Applicants for this post should be outstanding classroom practitioners and experienced in teaching a range of subjects to secondary age pupils, up to Level 2.
Candidates should also have a recognised teaching qualification (DTTLS/PGCE), preferably with QTS/QTLS status.
